Dr. Megan Barthle-Herrera, PhD, PMH-C

Dr. Megan Barthle-Herrera, PhD, PMH-C, is a licensed psychologist, owner and clinician at Oak Psychology Center, and Affiliate Professor at the University of Florida. She completed her doctorate at the University of Florida Department of Psychology, her predoctoral internship at the University of Florida Department of Clinical and Health Psychology specializing in Child and Pediatric Psychology, and her Postdoctoral residency at the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry in the Division of Psychology.

Dr. Barthle-Herrera served five years as Service Director of the OCD, Anxiety, and Related Disorders Outpatient Psychology Clinic within the UF Health Division of Psychology. In this role, she oversaw the delivery of CBT-E/RP across levels of care, including intensive outpatient programming with treatment frequencies ranging from weekly to daily sessions, as well as training and supervision of graduate students from across masters and doctoral programs, predoctoral interns, and postdoctoral associates.

She specializes in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, and related conditions across the lifespan, with expertise in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) and Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Comprehensive Behavioral Therapy for BFRBs (ComB), as well as integrated techniques as needed. In addition to her expertise in treating OCD and related disorders, she is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) and has advanced training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), holding credentials as both a Certified PCIT Therapist and Within-Agency Trainer.

Dr. Barthle-Herrera is a co-author of One, Two, What Do I Do?: A Children’s Guide to Talking Back to OCD, a resource designed to help children and families better understand and manage OCD. She is an active contributor to the field, serving on the Perinatal Task Force for the International OCD Foundation and on the Advisory Board for the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health.
